Hi Friends,

I have been busy working away on some interesting projects - a hotel in Morocco, a bachelor's loft pad, a master bathroom gut renovation. Last week, I wrapped a two-day photo shoot of an interior. Needless to say, the blog needs a bit of good ole TLC. 

I thought I would share some good news. You may remember the Dining By Design event I posted about back in November. Atelier Turner's table has been recognized as a Gold Table (see blue highlighted box below). We are honored to receive this status by CS Interiors magazine, featured in their hot-off-the-press winter issue. Thank you!

 

In Living Color

Happy New Year! 2012 was a fantastic year, here’s to 2013 being even better! I thought it appropriate to post a Style House inspired by the New Year. The Firework painting included in this furniture board is by New York artist Rosemarie Fiore. She created this imagery “by exploding and containing live fireworks, resulting in bursts of saturated color that are overlapped and collaged into abstract compositions”.  Check out the rest of her amazing collection of work when you have a chance. It’s crazy cool.

Superb Storefront

I'm lovin' the polished look of this storefront with a swooping glass facade that leads you to a grand wooden door. It's such a good mix of elegant and modern with traditional touches. Love!

Cocktails Tonight

Dining By Design 2012 Chicago: A Success

Dining By Design Chicago was an incredible experience - lots of fun coupled with lots of hard work but worth every minute. Each designer-installed table space was inventive, unique, and creative. One of the best parts was last night's gala where I had a chance to dine in the space and have dinner conversations with our sponsors - CS Interiors magazine and Casa Spazio showroom. The other highlight was when Atelier Turner's interactive installation came to life Thursday at the cocktail party. As quoted in the video - "people like to paint"!
