Italian Farmhouse Chic - Masseria Cimino
Wed, August 24, 2011 I’m just going to be forthright with you and well…sound like a broken record. If I haven’t emphasized this enough ;-), I love historically restored hotels. I mean, really, who wouldn’t? “Mr. Blast from the Past” meets “Mrs. Nuevo Modernito”! Perfection! Ok…now down to bizness.
Masseria Cimino in Italy is agrarian chic, golf course retreat all mixed into one winning combo! You’ve got one part 18th century fortified farmhouse built with 6th century Ancient Roman stones, you’ve got another part surrounding fertile lands with old olive grove and vegetable garden, and the final part 21stcentury 18-hole pro golf course at your disposal. And the interiors, you ask? Very contextually relevant and very attractive. The bones of this farmhouse are handsome and they’ve done a good job of smoothing out the rough edges. Plus, the repetition and illumination of simple farm tools, rusted gadgets and other “whathaveyous” adds a nice punch to the all white space. Nicely done, guys! Book your stay today.
