Tile Ribbon Showstopper
Wed, February 9, 2011 I laid my eyes on this villa in Positano, Italy early in my design career. This 18th century villa, redesigned by duo Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering, was such a unique work of art that it compelled me to immediately rip out the images from my magazine and pin them up on my inspirational wall at my desk.

Lazzarini and Pickering used 3000 Viertri tiles dating from the 1700s to 1890 to clad the ribbon walkway, table, light fixture and ceiling that unites the living room and dining room.
