My Novel of Life
Mon, January 3, 2011 Oh how I have missed you all. Sorry to be away for so long. It’s been a bit hectic these last two weeks. An unexpected trip to Miami + Christmas on the east coast followed by a huge blizzard the day I was flying out (which lead to two cancelled flights) + a surprise visit from a good friend in addition to a NYE party definitely put a bit of a kink in my routine. Now I am happily back to my regularly scheduled program.

Happy New Year to everyone! I have a gooooood feeling about 2011. While conversing at the New Year’s Eve party with a group of girlfriends, we decided to share what we are grateful for in our lives. I’ve had loved ones pass away in 2010 and it definitely gives you a different perspective on life. It has caused me to pause and reflect on my life at this moment, in the here and now. What I have learned is to be thankful for what I HAVE in my life, NOT what is missing or lacking. Live for today and live your life to the fullest because you only have one. Quite simply, I have this tremendous gratitude for all the characters (leading and supporting, acquaintances and best friends) that make up my novel of life. My glass is definitely half full and I’m very content. I’m married to the love of my life; we have a roof over our heads and good healthy bodies that allow us to foster our ambitions, hopes and dreams. Let’s just say I’m optimistic about 2011!
